Job Description

Following all policies and procedures of the group, direct and manage the operational and strategic performance of designated cluster hotels;

To take full responsibility for, and to at all times maintain the Hotel within the legal requirements of the Fire, Health & Safety, Hygiene, Licensing Laws and any other authority associated with the normal running of a Hotel. To ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, Local Authority Regulations and all Company policies, procedures and practices;

To maximise all aspects of profitability and productivity whilst maintaining and exceeding all relevant brand standards;

Plan and manage approved capital investment in the properties as appropriate;

Lead, coach, develop and manage hotel team in order to achieve the Key Performance; Objectives and goals set down for the hotel(s) by delivering an excellent guest experience and adopting consistent best practices;

Lead, coach, develop and manage the individual Hotel Managers within the cluster to also fulfil the above, in order to achieve the Key Performance Objectives and goals for each department;

The Successful Applicant

A university degree in hotel management or a related field with Experience in opening, managing or re-positioning a hotel with clear track record;

At least 5 to 10 years experience in the hospitality industry, with significant luxury or international experience;

Experience as a General Manager or Asst. General Manager;

Resort market awareness;

Opening and preopening experience;

Development of S&M strategies, budgets, Revenue management;

Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills;

Portuguese - fluent and full understanding Portuguese culture and legal requirements of hospitality law;

Fluent in English.
